Bars in the main resorts change their names and identities so frequently that recommendations are useless - just follow your nose and you wil soon find one that you like. Many bars are foreign owned, with German or British names, imported beer and satellite TV. A stretch of the Platja de Palma is known as Carter de la cervesa ('Beer Street') owing to the predominat on of German bars; you will find the British equivalent in Magalluf.

Pub crawls, which may better be termed cafe crawls, are the most common activity. Mallorca summer evenings are made for sitting on a terrace, sipping a beer or 'cafe con hielo' and enjoying a 'terulia' (chat) until early in morning. People here start to go out around 10.00pm and bars/clubs stay open until 3 or 4am then it's time to hit the discos.

During your stay in Mallorca, try and mix with the locals. Palma is full of clubs and bars, where you can mix with both young and old locals. The atmosphere is superb and the people are always warm and open for a chat.

Opening times and Music:
Resort bars, cafes and clubs open all day and most in around the island as well.   Some bars have to stop playing music at about 1.ooam.  Most open stay open until 3 or 4am, so their is no need to drink so much, so quickly - take it easy.
