Can anyone tell me if the beach at Port de Soller is suitable for young children and old people to get into the sea and swim. There are no photos of swimmers in the tourist books. I'm therefore suspicious and not being able to swim would ruin our holiday.

Viaje a Mallorca por primera vez en Enero del 2000 y quedé totalmente enamorado de la isla. En Abril viajo mi esposa y le sucedió lo mismo. En Octubre volvimos a viajar juntos y decidimos intentar radicarnos en la isla. Yo he trabajado como cocinero y pizzero durante 6 años y he dirigido una pequeña firma que se dedicaba al "catering". Vivo en Estocolmo desde hace 25 años, por lo que domino el idioma sueco, como si fuese mi propia lengua. Entiendo inglés, aunque no lo hablo muy bien. Please help me! I will be visiting Mallorca on 5 Oct for 4 days. My boyfriend and I want to go somewhere on the island that is at the beach but NOT in a tourist resort. We want to go somewhere quiet and peaceful on the coast with no high rise hotels. Where is the best area/village to go to? I presume on the south of the island as it will be warmer there? We arrive late thurs 5 oct in Palma, and will rent a car to drive somewhere early friday. We can't afford very expensive places, but would like a self-catering apartment or guesthouse. Hace dos años busco a través del Internet, personas que lleven mi mismo apellido: Aguilo. Yo nací en Guayama, Puerto Rico. Mi abuelo paterno era natural de Soller, Palma de Mallorca. Su nombre: Gaspar Aguilo Piña. Mi padre nació en Bayamón,P.R. en el 1890. Su certificado de nacimiento contiene los nombres de ambos padres, pero no consta ninguno de los abuelos paternos.

Mi abuelo Gaspar, vino a P.R. con otros dos hermanos los cuales nunca conocimos. Estoy recopilando toda la informacion posible para preparar nuestro arbol familiar y dejarlo en herencia a nuestros hijos, sobrinos y nietos.

¿Será posible conseguir algúna certificación de nacimiento y/o defunción allá en Palma de Mallorca? De ser posible le agradecería me informara dónde acudir y el costo del documento y cómo ordenarlo.
